My first search in substack, hoping you might ask for readers' favorite lists so I could offer some fragments of Jubilate Agno---
so many pieces of the world contained (like my childhood wish for a book of Everything),
science, from when it was beautiful, illuminated.
{In fact, I marvel that no artist from any era between then & now has tried to decorate or illustrate...maybe because the words glow--ignite--scorch more than pictures in gold leaf possibly could}----but you were Smart-er, and already there, and there he is, atop the rest.
One account I read stated that Smart wrote the complete poem āJubilate Agnoā (which includes the Jeffrey/cat section) at the rate of one line per day during his period of āhospitalizationā.

That is quite a list! I have 4 cats š šāā¬ š šāā¬ and I can totally relate to the list!!
